Figures that he would plead not guilty... just another chance to give it to the victims' families by having this lead to a long, drawn-out trial.

While it's important to have the "innocent until proven guilty" standard, from what I've heard in this case this Pickton guy is as guilty as sin. So if that's the case I hope he rots in hell.

Sorry for your loss, opiated... it's bad enough to lose loved ones to disease, accident or other ways, I can't even imagine what it would be like to have some bastard take someone I love away from me. Take heart, remember the good times, be strong, but don't be afraid to cry if you need to.

this trial is going to drag on for years...it sucks, but we're prepared to deal with it...and believe me..i'm not afraid to cry...
Cry Opiated I'm so sorry for your loss.

I want you to know and realize that you don't ever have to validate Heather by explaining why she wound up where she did - "the wrong crowd" doesn't discount her being a good person/family/friend.

For others in the forum I thought I'd share a website: www.buriedheart.com/home/index.php

Buried Hearts Project had started with a song performed by several Canadian singers (yes, Gordie's here) called the "The Streets Where You Live" & here's a piece of the lyrics:

Around the corner
Where you live
Trouble brewing
Something’s got to give
It’s a corner working
It’s a crowd on the street
It’s the way that you can vanish
from the people that you see

Check it out, buy the song or just donate, please.
