That's the hostel that I stayed at on my last trip to Amsterdam! The Flying Pig Vondelpark hostel is also pretty close.
so are hipbasers actually gonna go?

how much do you think I would need?
dstar from the tracker is really intent on setting something up. A charter round trip flight (YYZ to AMS) will cost close to a grand (according to Expedia this afternoon); The hostel costs about $15 CDN per night.

When I went in 2003, my flight was $499 all taxes included, so deals can be found.
I am willing to go from the west coast, trip of a lifetime Wink
I'd love to go but I'm already going to the Olympics in Italy so my funds are going to be pretty dry. My brother who is living in England right now is going to be going.
Sign me up for this trip folks, though I'll be making my way over from Poland...but as far as hostels/hotels, I'll be on board for whatever you guys come up with....it's gonna be one hell of a trip....
Aaaaaaaagh I just read about it in a local newspaper - I can't believe they're finally coming over here - my first Hip show EVER, I'm too excited!! :jump :jump :jump :jump
I remember in June 2000 when a few people came over to London to see them.
It was nice to put a few faces to names from the old newsgroup.

(anyone still got access to that, tell Wotgurilla to email me!)
I'm starting to get some pricing in order for flying out on the 6th...hitting the show in London on the 7th and then taking the train or a RyanAir flight up to Amsterdam for the gig on the 11th. My hope is that they are in the works to schedule another concert in between those 2...and by looking in the archives, I don't think it's unreasonable to foresee a Germany show being sandwiched in there.

I'd personally like to see them go to Paris as I've been dying to go, and I've got a friend who lives there, but they haven't played Paris since the Day for Night tour way back in '94

I think this actually works out better anyways as flights into London are cheaper than flying into Amsterdam or most anywhere in Europe for that matter.

BTW...tickets go on sale tomorrow for the Amsterdam show...I'm considering buying some without even having my European plans in place just so I'm not without my way in the door if I do in fact make it over. Any of you Dutchies have any idea how quickly this show might sell out???

Finally.....The Hip in The Netherlands again. I just hope the show in Paradiso won't be the only one Big Grin
Ach! Just. A little. Closer.

I don't have the cash to make my way across Europe. If they get as close as Berlin, I might be able to. Hopefully, they'll feel the need to add another level to Springtime in Vienna and actually live it.

Cheers,
John
Alright so I've got my Paradiso tickets!!! Amsterdam here I come...all I have to do is clear it with the Fiance and I'll be on my way...pray for me!

Just the mention of Berlin makes me sexy...

25 Euros! Yikes... It's nothing compared to the flight... but wowsers!

So, let's get a roll call for who's interested/willing/able to go to Europe.

Due to work and family I will have to stay in the UK only.

Anyone going, there is an OK pub next door IIRC
