As you can see right now, my avatar is really grainy and stuff. I kinda want the attached image as my avatar, but I cant get it below 9 kb without seriously decreasing the quality.
How do you all have decent looking avvies?
I have photoshop and I have tried a bunch of different file types.
i usually just google avatars..like for my current one, i typed in "ween" avatars...(by the way...WEEN ROCKS!! if you haven't checked out their CD the mollusk, do so now!!)
Good call, I googled "homestar runner" avatars.

Use Photoshop's "Save For Web" option, and make it less than 80 x 80 for size; JPEG Medium. Getting it to less than 9kb should be a breeze. I just did it and it came out at 4kb.

i hate how some people just write them off as a joke band, but these guys are talented..if you ever get a chance to see them live, they're no joke..tiger if you're a fan, even if you're just a casual fan, i reccomend you pick up the live in chicago DVD..it covers a lot of t heir material, and they do a killer version of zeppelins All My Love...

I worked with a guy who was the brother of the drummer of Jimmy Swift Band. He told me about Ween one day at work and game me a CD to listen to and see what I thought. Eclectic is the word I would use. Original. From what I remember, I wasn't blown away by them but I was intrigued. He also lent me Matt Mays first solo cd which was cool. The first time I heard the entire cd, the two names that came to mind were Neil Young because of the guitar style and a little Hayden. I don't know how much Matt sounds like Hayden but that's what I thought on first listen.

that was their last studio album to come out about 2 years ago...it's pretty good, but i wouldn't reccomend it to start out with ween..although Happy coloured marbles is a thing of twisted beauty
