Can anybody tell me what he's slurring together?

On my Ottawa show, and Gordie also does it on the Toronto concert.

It goes..."please, please, give me second place....(stuff)...first time around, now i just sit on the ground, in your way"

Can someone fill that in? And does anyone know where he gets that from, or if it's an original?
