Does anyone know where the leaders are standing with decrim? I know last election Layton made an appearance on Marc Emery's pot tv saying that the NDP are receptive to the idea. I can only guess Martin will stay the course there on now, and Harper ..... well who's to say how far he will go to appease the people of Ontario.

I didn't watch the "At Issue" panel on CBC, but I heard from some comments on blogs that Chantal Hebert said something like, "If this is the best idea the Liberals have, then the Liberal plane shouldn't even bother taking off tomorrow." Line of the night, right there.
Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have just witnessed the destruction of Paul Martin's political career... and the coroners will be calling it "death by suicide".

Harper threw away the stoner vote early with a promise to keep marijuana possession a criminal offence.
All the other parties see it a little differently....
Oh well heres hoping, Harper strikes me as more of a freebaser anyway.
Debate in a nutshell:
Martin: Harper is the devil!
Harper: Martin is the devil!
Layton: You know, the NDP is running candidates, too!
Duceppe: I really don't know what I'm doing at the English language debate except that they promised catering and a host bar. Viva le Quebec liberté!

To protect the Charter, Martin wants to remove a key section of the Charter. Anyone else catch the irony?

Quite apart from which, it's a promise he can't keep.
You can't promise to amend the constitution, because as soon as you apply the can opener to that worm bomb, it's out of your control.
Yeah, it's pretty desperate. The Liberal campaign is starting to smell as if Martin is coming up with ideas on the fly.
The only thing that can save the Martin campaign at this point is polls suggesting a conservative majority, scaring undecided voters into voting Liberal to keep the Daleks at bay.

Had Duceppe actually GO OUTSIDE his province once in awhile, like say...further west than Ottawa, he would find that any dislike towards Quebecers comes from him being a panzy ass about a 3rd referendum. You lost twice, get over it.
I, and anyone else I know, considers Quebec a part of Canada. How is it that they feel cheated? They have their hands in the PM's pockets all the time, get their own party represented on a federal level, amongst other little quirks.
I say give them an ultimatum, one more referendum, if you lose, your party gets abolished. :| Except that we still want Duceppe in the English debates
