Yep. That's my (other) sadly neglected site. I haven't touched it in probably 2 years. I've just been too busy with design work and home stuff. I need to work on my personal homepage first and then do an entire makeover on the 700ft Pulpit site.
amazing stuff, Im gonna send you an email

Checkout: http://www.wolfgangsvault.com I bet they have a copy.
They do- thanks! A touch pricey though; It'd probably be upwards of 100 CAN with shipping and duty though! The last one I saw was on EBay a few weeks ago so I'll keep my eye out there again; I should have picked it up when I saw it.

I actually have all of the Fillmore posters. I bought them over the span of a year on EBay. When I bought them they averaged about 25.00 each. I will check to see if I have the name of the guy I bought them from. He might swing a deal if you buy a couple at a time.
ccollins515 Wrote:Will, on your site it looks like you will have a store? Does that mean folks will be able to purchase your posters?
I will have an online store open in the near future with some tees, art prints, and posters, but nothing from The Hip will be on there. They take care of their own merch.
I do have big hopes of setting up a gallery where fans can send in photos of my posters (Hip or otherwise) in their homes or dorm rooms or wherever...not just a shot of a framed print on a wall but a picture of how the artwork fits in with their living space. Maybe even have fans include themselves in the photos. That might be kind of cool. But I really need to get my site done before I take on a project like that.

Hey, I've been looking into the Fillmore posters all day and I was thinking about collecting them all too... they're awesome. The one with the moose is incredible.
Sure, let me know if you come up with anything- thanks!!
Hi Will,
Do you do any work in the Short North Arts District? I've love to come down and see your work in a gallery setting sometime! Go Blue Jackets!

Most of the work I do is actually for out of town gigs, but I have done promo work for a few local bands and venues. Last year, some other Columbus poster artists and myself had a group show at Promowest Pavilion called Eye Damage. It was a good turn out for a first time event. We plan on doing a bigger and better one this spring or summer. I will let you know when the time comes.
There's a really cool traveling gallery show called GRAPHIC NOISE that is making it's way around the country. I think it's in Minneapolis right now. It's sponsored by the Museum of Design Atlanta and includes hundreds of recent concert posters from around the US. I have about 6 or 7 prints in that show. I'm going to try to have them bring it to the Columbus College of Art & Design.
Yes - definitely let me/us know if and when you have events going on in Columbus. I would definitely be interested in seeing the 'Graphic Noise' event. On a somewhat unrelated note...what did you think of Promowest changing it's name to: "Lifestyle Communities Pavilion"? Roles off the tounge nicely, eh?
I've never ordered from
these guys but they've got the "Dog" poster listed for $30 (USD)

Man, what were they thinking? It sounds like a place where they play a lot of shuffleboard and canasta.
I just bought the moose and the one with the old time car and dude for 40 bucks. I'm going to give it a rest for a while now; I've spent too much on Ebay in the last 3 days.

hock:
Well, unless I see the dog poster come up again, that is. 8)
I have to say that Will's work is amazing. Someday I hope to be able to work with him for my band
gord did a solo show at a club where i worked as a bartender. it was the day that johnny cash passed away. i went in early to set up the bar and check out his sound check. he walked up and held his hand out and said hi i'm gord (like he needed an introduction... )...we started talking about what a sad day it was, with johnny's passing and all...and he said that was actually the reason he wanted to talk to me...since i was the only one around at the time...he needed the lyrics to "the man comes around" so he could practice for the show that night, and was wondering if i could use the computer in the office to download them. i got them for him, and he opened with it...there were a lot of people crying. it was pretty moving.
so i did this painting to remember the night, gord, and to honor johnny cash...

here's a painting i did based on songs and lyrics from phantom power...it's called "checkerboard floors"
...."where i saw the constellations reveal themselves one star at a time"...
