Nothing is more frustrating! It has been almost 24hrs and Air Canadai still has not idea...

I just got off the phone with a lady the flat out lied to get me off the phone. "I just got a update from Toronto, your bags are in Toronto and will be at your door tomorrow between 8:00 and 8:15." How the hell could she know that!

Deep breath and count to 10...

Man that sucks Lance, I would be just raging too. I hope that never happens to me, I think I'd have a breakdown.

I hope you get your stuff back.

Not ONLY did they lose our luggage,,, First we did not have assigned seats on our flight from Halifax to Toronto. (We booked in August) Finally got a seat onboard but the flight left 2.5 hours late so we missed our connector to Winnipeg. We were up all night in a line up trying to get vouchers for a hotel, that we only stayed at for 3 hours anyways. We also got a 7$ voucher for breakfast - IN TORONTO! GIMMIE A BREAK! Our rescheduled flight left at 6:30 am, we arrived at the hotel at 2 am! We had to catch the hotel bus at 5 am to make our flight! To top it all off our 6:30 am flight was delayed for over an hour as well. (That could have been another hour of sleep in a really cold hotel room).

Oh Yea, they raised the prices for bringing pets onboard from 80$ to 210$,,, I HATE AIR CANADA!!

Please feel free to post your experiences!

I fly often for work, and all airlines suck. However, Westjet is the best in Canada by a country mile. (Which as we all know, is 2.97 city miles.)

In November, Air Canada bumped me off a flight even though I had a reserved seat. They offered me a $200 voucher off my next flight, which does me no good at all as I don't pay for my travel. The friendly customer service agent, when asked, informed me that there was no one with whom I could take it up.

"You mean there is no telephone number for anyone in customer service at Air Canada?" I asked.

"That's right," said he.

My most recent flight on Air Canada was cancelled due to weather after I checked in, which I discovered only by accident. They didn't feel it necessary to announce the cancellation to those of us sitting in the lounge.
i was flying back from flordia a few years back and my flight got deleyed so i was going to miss my connecting flight. continental airlines got me on another airline us air got me a seat so i went to the gate and then was told by usair that i had no seat and the flight was full don't know how they gave me a seat and it wasn't thier problem. so back to the counter and continentals counter closed usair no help , luckily the person who helped me ( came out to go home) get on the other airline asks what happened and then goes to usair and say you gave him a seat why is he not on the flight? no answer, so he gets me on the first flight for continental in the morning and gives me a voucher for a free round trip ticket i can use to go anywhere in the us for a year.
This isn't as much of a piss off as the other stories, but its fairly bizarre.

...we were on a family trip to Florida. We all got our luggage except my dad didn't get his bag of golf clubs. Even he realized that it wasn't that big of a deal and that missing clubs wouldn't ruin his vacation. We were still going to report them missing and whatnot. The distance from the carousel we were at and the missing baggage claim was quite a distance. Just by accident, we walked by a carousel that had baggage from Dallas going around on it. Well, there was no other bags, except for my dad's golf clubs. I still wonder to this day how and why they were on that Dallas carousel instead of the Toronto one.

And on TV once, I saw this amazing store which buys unclaimed baggage. They are the only store in North America with a license that allows them to buy stuff from Airlines. This was huge and sold everything from Video Games to iPods to Clothing and Paintings. They even had coffins for sale! (They said they guarentee that simply the coffins were lost, and not the coffins along with people inside). I forget what the name of this store was, but it was tucked away in the most random place in the USA. For some reason I want to say that the store is somewhere in Wyoming...

...anyways, theres two stories(?) about lost baggage.
I was looking up air cnanada lost baggage on google and found that store.

As for bad flying experiences, worse thing that ever happened to me was flying home from England on AirCan. the plane died during takeoff, we had to stop at the end of the runway, and they made us sit in the plane for 3 hours while they fixed the problem..I wanted to go home so bad, I dont know how I kept it together that day. And I also missed my Robert Q bus back to London from T.O so my Dad had to drive to T.O and get me. That was one of the worst days of my life and I haven't flown since and I dont look forward to the next time, I hate air travel and airports.
Looks like all of our stuff showed up. 4 bags on 3 different flights? I am just glad it made it.
