Okay everyone. Here's the deal. I've been giving my family hell for not going to the XMAS eve game in seattle. Anyway, my mother just called and said her neighbors (mid-20's) are going to the game and they have an extra ticket. It's in a skybox (dont know where) & there will be about 30 people there. I've never met this couple before but would be driving up & back with them the same day...hell, spending the entire day (christmas eve) with them.
Tell me your thoughts...
Am I crazy to even consider not going d/t family/the holidays???
Is it a no brainer...
HELP!!!!!
Id like to say its a no brainer, I guess it depends on how big a fan you are. If it was me I'd go, sounds like fun and Ive never been to a football game. Beats staying home doing nothing, and if you end up watching it on tv you'll probably wish you'd went.

Football is the one sport that I feel is WAY better on TV than in person. I've seen about a half dozen games in Buffalo, Seattle, and Dallas and not one of them made me rush back for more. Quite honestly, the best part of being at a game in person is the tailgating.
So, if I had the choice of spending Christmas Eve with the family and watching the game on TV vs going to the game and hanging out with 30 strangers, I'd stay home.

I second this.
Seahawks Colts could be a great game...but not if Indi plays like they're playing right now !

Indy just got a FG and a TD, down by 6, I think they will come back, looks like Manning finally woke up.
maybe not eh

maybe not eh

maybe not eh

Guess it wasn't meant to be, the good thing is that it makes Indy look beatable, not that they are less better now, but it gives other teams confidence. My biggest worry was that Indy would cruise to the Super Bowl and turn it into a rout, not to say that can't still happen, but I hope it doesn't. Those 72 Phin's must be happy, I don't think that record will ever be broken.
I wouldn't go to the game now.... Indy will be playing their second-stringers to rest their starters for the playoffs.
Had Indy won, I'd have been there for sure.
Thanks for the thoughts everybody. I decided to go - bc I'll love to see the game regardless of who wins. I also decided to go bc who knows when I'll get the option to catch such a great game in such an amazing suite let alone on Xmas eve. I thought it was really great that my family was so supportive - them knowing how much I love football & how closely I cover it/the teams thoughout the season. So if you're interested...click on this link & follow the directions!
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="https://www.seats3d.com/nfl/seattle_seahawks/">https://www.seats3d.com/nfl/seattle_seahawks/</a><!-- m -->
Let the page load, then go over to suites, then down to suite level - click that. Then find suite number 49 - doubleclick. That's where I'll be this saturday... Oh to get the view from inside the box, click on the green dots!!!
It'll be the entire day of partying - tailgating and game....
Cheers All,
Sarah :thumb:
Thanks again...
Good call! Have fun at the game :thumb:
well, i think you'll still get to see the MVP of the league play, Alexander that is, to hell with Manning, he's a poor-man's Marino

...
just kidding, Manning's killer, he broke the TD record, much respect, and also, he still has a chance to get himself a ring, and i think almost everybody wants to see him get one some day, except for NE fans, but to hell with them.

To hell with NE indeed! As for Manning the only way I want him to get a ring is if he's playing for Green Bay or Kansas City! If Manning ever does leave the Colts, I wonder if they will have to re-write the entire play book, Manning will know it by heart and pick em apart, I guess he studies every team very closely.[rant] And another thing about the Colts, update that damn logo!! That old horseshoe is butt-ugly, put a running horse or something on there instead, kind of like Calgary's.[/rant] :thumb:
