So amongst another slew of Christmas Cards to land in my mailbox today, I was touched when I saw this one, sent by none other than my dear old mom (see attachment)

I love impressionism, especially Thomson's work. And leave leave it to good ol' mum to remember the reference to Thomson I once made in passing, which of course was in the context of the song Three Pistols by you know who.

Just thought I'd share....Pretty card, eh?

Very nice indeed, what a thoughtful mom. I love Thomson's work, a friend of mine has some replica's of his paintings up in his house, Im always staring at them, there very nice on the eyes.

Sombody around here always used TT paintings as avatars...'canuck courage' maybe?

His works are truely captivating as you seem to have experienced..they somehow make me almost experience what I might be gathering from my other four senses if were standing right there at the painter's perspective. And then that leads to emotional feeling....
