Guys - if these are for Hip CD's or some CD's you want to keep, then do not use these CD labels.
Way back when I started my Hip music collection - I got all fancy and put labels on my CD's and made them look all nice.
Every CD I have put a label on has failed.
And I mean every CD.

I'm with Dana on this one. The top of the CD or DVD is the sensitive side, and the glues/adhesives that those labels have on them destroys CDs over time.

This is the first I've ever heard of it. I put labels on all my CD's and I've never ever had an issue with the labels ruining the CD's. The worst that happens is with crappy labels, they come off the disc.
Perhaps it depends on the brand used?

I really didn't mean labels, more or less jacket/cover designs.

Mine happened with different brands of CD's and different brands of labels.
My wife had me make CD's for our wedding - to hand out as favors or something.
Alot of people at the wedding liked them - and I ended up having to do it for like 5 more weddings.
At every wedding I put labels on the disks - and CD's from all the weddings are messed up. The brides and grooms never said anything - so at least that is cool.

i agree about the cd labels my first hip boots transfered from tape to cd put labels on the cd now cannot make new copy's of the cds

I have to say im another victim of cd covers. I had to strip the paper off of the cd's just so i could burn them to my harddrive.

A nice looking invention that breaks things!

I use Acoustica also and like it's functionality.

I use labels on discs sometimes and get worried about you guys are talking about.... is there other solutions besides printing directly on the CD which I've seen too!

I use SureThing CD labeler for my jewel cases - I have been using it for probably 6 years - and I love it.

The DVD's I have been using lately I got from work - they are Verbatim "printable" DVD's - blank white top that can be put in a CD printer to print directly to the DVD.
I do not print to them, but I have been transferring all of my VHS movies and Hip videos to DVD - and I use these because I believe they are more durable - especially since I write on the face with my Sharpie.
And, I have a special Sharpie that says safe for CD's.

I've been using the Epson R200 to print to my Ritek/Ridata printable cds & dvds. They look fantastic, and I haven't had any problems with them.

I’m DJ on radio and have a huge number of disks. To оrganize my collection my colleague advised me to use this CD cover maker. I tried it and think that it is a good decision to arrange CDs.
