Yeah, it sounds as though they might try to get rid of Hinske, which wouldn't upset me greatly.

Why would the Phillies do that? They want to get rid of Abreu's salary but I'm assuming they expect a little bit in return. Hinske is a bum and Batista is a good, but aging pitcher.

I know Hillenbrand will be DHing this year. Where does this leave Corey Koskie?

I'm a little worried about trading away Orlando Hudson - he did pick up the Gold Glove this year.

They are saying Koskie will be DH aren't they?

Oh, I thought Ricciardi implied that Hillenbrand would be the DH.

It looks as if Koskie will be dealt, Hillenbrand will be used to DH and Hinske will sit on the bench and spell the guys when they need a day off.

I wonder if there's a market for an oft-injured guy like Koskie out there at the price he's due to receive.

My friend made up a conversation between JFJ and Lou Lamiorello on his blog where JFJ tried to deal Antropov for a bag of pucks and Lamiorello eventually worked him down to some electrical tape. The deal never went through due to problems with the fax machine.
