So let me get this straight, although the event does not allow recording, MAv can, and will record this. Does this mean that it will eventually be released through the tracker? Or not so much?
more likely a video off the Hip's site. I just dont see him putting it on the tracker

Yeah thats what I figured, by an acoustic set bootleg would be PHENOMENAL to own.
Have fun at the show guys, I wish I could be there but Im working alot right now, so I wouldnt have been able to make it. I cant wait to hear all about it. And hopefully get to see or hear some of it,
I've been working on my Lance Robinson drivers license all day. I hope it works!!
Well, may I be the first (or one of the first I hope) to say that that was probably the best performance I've seen, out of well over 20!! All the bands were terrific, but the Hip came out at the end and it instantly became a Hip show. They played (maybe out of order): The Man Comes Around (Johnny Cash), Bobcaygeon, Flamenco, Going Going Gone (Bob Dylan), Daredevil, Ahead by a century, The New Maybe, and Powderfinger (Neil Young - with everyone taking verses). Amazing setlist. Gord's voice was excellent and he was grinning the whole time - seemed to really enjoy the singing along. Everyone sat through most of the night, but the crowd was on its feet for the Hip's entire set. I just wish their was an encore.
Before the Hip came out, the band members could be spotted in the crowd, enjoying the other bands. Gord was cuddling with a very pregnant woman (I assume it was his wife - at least I hope).
K...gotta go play powderfinger now.
Hope to hear some other, more in depth reviews.

Uh... Wow.
Cheers to those who were there.

ceebuler had all the right songs, but not the exact order... so here it is:
The Man Comes Around (Johnny Cash)
Bobcaygeon
Flamenco
Daredevil
The New Maybe
Going Going Gone (Bob Dylan)
Ahead By A Century
Powderfinger (Neil Young - with all of the evenings performers on stage and singing verses)
It was an incredible show from start to finish. Danny Michel, Matt Mays (solo), Sam Roberts Band, Sarah Harmer and The Hip. (Kathleen Edwards was sick).
Dave Hodge, Doug Gilmour, Brent Banbury (CBC Radio), and Paul Coffey all made appearances on stage.
Lance, Stephen Dame and I had a really thrilling day, starting with the soundcheck, followed by 40+ minutes of conversation with Gord D, Gord S and Paul. I need to compile my thoughts before I post 'em. Needless to say, it was awesome! (And I got most of it on video...)
A Dylan tune, a Cash tune, and a Neil Young tune? You guys are just screwing with us.
I guess Gord D likes Planet Waves - he played On A Night Like This (solo in Chicago in '03).
sounds like an amazing night, stupid tax exam.
chris, that is utterly incredible. very cool. When you say that you got "ost of it" on video does that mean the performance?
Sounds like a memorable night, wish I could have been there!
i guess my evening watching the DVD at home by myself doesn't even compare eh?
ya, this has to be released through livedownloads or something... can't think of a much better holiday gift for hipfans.
...please?
wow good stuff ! what a setlist too
edit : The Man Comes Around (Johnny Cash) this was played at the solo gord show in p.e.i. sounded killer !
