On the way to work today, the train (GO Train, Southern Ontario) was covered in Hip billboards -- pretty cool!

I am itching to pick it up. I have class till 6:00 today, so I will likely pick it up then. I also have a midterm tommorow, a paper due thursday, and a seminar to present on thursday. My marks will likely suffer by about 10%.

Ahhh, the joys of working for the gov. Wake up, make up some lame excuse that you're going to be late for work, email it in, then stop by Best Buy and pick it up for $44.99. Now, I'm sitting here, and on Grace, Too.........
Won't fully digest the book and DVDs until tonight, but I'm already giggling like a little school girl.
Oh, and the cute girl at the cash said "wow, my first non-Star Wars purchase of the day!" So, we then climbed a tree, I touched her, ahem, and she touched my, ahem..........
I just got back from Best Buy, it was $44.99 a very nice deal and what an outstanding package, where do I start? I love the hard cover book set up, its like one giant scrapbook, very well done. The Fully Completely songs....wow! I put in disc 2 and Fully Completely just blew me back, I had to drop my bass levels in my car I couldn't believe it! Love the New Maybe and Im just watching the DVD now and it is fantastic. Its been said already but what an amazing set, thank you Das Hips!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I picked it up as soon as the mall opened this morning and I am just finishing up the concert. That extended version of Blow is amazing. I forgot how special this concert was. I think I'm going to pop in the Bonus disc and catch some of the extras. I haven't seen a number of the videos before.

I just noticed on the disco page that Fully, Completey's songs were the only ones that were "remixed by Don Smith".
Hmmmm, maybe we could take this further and make some dance mixes????

Wow!!!! Best $51.00 incl. tax I've ever spent in my life.
I was so excited to put this in the DVD player I stubbed the shit out of my big toe running up the stairs at my house...a small sacrifice.
The concert footage was incredible...I've got a 47" HDTV Plasma TV with a kickass sound system and it blew me away...the picture quality is waaaay beyond top notch.
I loved the bonus 45 minute video of the backstage stuff from the Grey Cup as well as some of the stories they told....the one of Johnny getting drunk and smashing into a pyramid of cheerleaders at the highschool football game was pretty damn funny. There is a great moment towards the end where the entire song of Escape is at Hand plays in the background while it shows all of the guys riding in the Ottawa Transit bus back from the Grey Cup performance...I think they should make that into it's official video...
There are also a number of small vignettes set to some original Hip music...some of it is layered underneath Gord reciting his poetry...it's pretty artsy but very very cool.
So much more great stuff..but I'll let you all discover it for yourselves and pick out yer own favourite moments.
Been well worth the wait...
