i heard a rumor that Downie was coming to Halifax within the year to promote a concert or something like that.. can anyone verify this rumor, and if its true where and when is he coming? Thanks!

That's a pretty vague rumour... no confirmation or denial from this fan.

If it's the Hip you're hoping to see within a year, I'd say it's a safe bet they'll be in your neck of the woods within the next 10 months. The usual every-two-years tour is looming, so expect them in Halifax in the spring, summer or fall of 2006. Now THAT'S detail!

well the only confirmation of have as of yet, is a freind of mines brother does alot of concert promoting in halifax and hes bringing in a band that Downie supports and their getting him to come with the band. Hopefully I'll be able to get in touch with this guys brother and figure out the details....
