Looks like Van Halen maybe be next up for the reality show.. http://www.chartattack.com/damn/2005/10/2003.cfm They also mentioned Alice In Chains, but Jerry Cantrell "scoffed" at the notion, thankfully. I never watched one second of Rock Star: INXS, so I dont really care. But seeing some young rocker leading Van Halen on stage would be pretty funny to see. Anybody think of another group in need of a singer? The Tea Party just lost theirs, but I dont see that happening. I hope not anyway.
I figured this would happen...there aren't really any other acts that I would love to see...as far as bands who are missing lead singers I guess you can add Blind Melon and STP to the list.

The bottom line is as long as they get some talented singers up on stage, and they bring back the same house band I will watch. I didn't really like INXS anyways, I watched the show to see the contestants sing cover songs from other bands and some original tracks.

Goulet!!!
Rock Star: Nirvana!

Whooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!1
Nickelback needs a new singer, the one they have now sucks
Or you could say that the nickelback singer needs a new band beacuse the one he has sucks.....

.....wow its like that chicken/egg thing.

I think it would be cool if David Lee Roth entered the competition.
With Van Halen's track record, this could be a neverending reality show. A kind of cross between Rock Star: INXS and The Apprentice. One season to hire a new singer, then a show to fire him, then back to square one.....
Guess its not going to be VH after all.. http://www.chartattack.com/damn/2005/10/2103.cfm

Now they are suggesting, Blind Melon and Sublime.

Booooring.
please not Blind Melon...a true treasure of a band. One of the more underrated ones...Check out their Woodstock '94 set...classic Shannon Hoon...a stunningly incredible performance :thumb:
Blind Melon would be a tragedy. They were so good and doing a show like this would just ruin their integrity.
I think Limp Bizkit should do it, that band's integrity (if they ever had any) has long since dissapeared, they'd be perfect.
even better yet, why not have Guns and Roses? That way Axl can finally have a public meltdown and maybe they'll even get around to releasing that Chinese Democracy album

For some reason, with no real logical explanation, I have a feeling he is holding on to something incredible...if you heard that IRS demo that leaked a year or so ago, beyond the horrible quality of the recording, there is a song there that sounds like a beast...as Zack Wylde said, the record is "Appetite on steroids" . Every quote out there from people who've heard it, say it's spectacular...if he could only get around to releasing it.
