would have been celebrating today if that asshole hadn't gunned him down...I know everybody has heard the song, but the words seem more relevant today than ever before....

Imagine there's no heaven
easy if you try
No hell below us
above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

Imagine there's no countries
it isn't hard to do
nothing to kill or die for
and no religion to
Imagine all the people living life in peace

You may say I'm a dreamer, but i'm not the only one
I hope someday you will join us
and the world be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
a brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world

Tragic that was...I always wondered what could've been had he not been murdered? But what he left behind was quite amazing in its own right, not just the Beatles but his solo work too, what talent. I still enjoy his music greatly, it always puts me in a good mood when I hear it. I have the "Lennon Anthology" box set and I love it. Its a must have, imo.

that box set is amazing..i love his take on Peggy Sue! the acoustic imagine..the "im losing you" with cheap trick..the list goes on

I've always imagined(pardon the pun) a Beatles Unplugged special if he hadn't died...it probably would have sounded a lot like the beatles anthology Disc 3...

Here's an interesting piece of nostalgia, his Rolling Stone interview from 1968.
