So I've been feeling a little nostalgic for the days of my youth recently... partly since last weekend I went back to UWO's Homecoming to celebrate my 10-year class reunion... holy crap, where has the time gone?

Anyway, I remember there being some great Canadian rock music "back in the day". And with this thread about an old forgotten favourite of mine, The Pursuit of Happiness (http://www.hipbase.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7664), it got me to thinking about putting together an ultimate late 80's to early-mid 90's Canadian rock mix CD (or CDs if there is enough material). For this exercise I have decided to not count the Hip, since I already have everything they've released so far, plus several boots of live concerts contributed by some of the fine members of this site. :thumb:

Other than what has already been listed, I would suggest some Rainbow Butt Monkeys... "As Far As I Can Spit" or "Danananana" would be good choices. Circles was probably the best known tune from RBM, but I like the 2 that I mentioned better.

Sons of Freedom weren't bad. Saw 'em open for the Hip in '92. But man oh man, did I ever hate Bootsauce back in the day. Those guys sucked somethin awful.
