Hey, first post, please don't flame me to bits.
Was wondering if anyone in my area were big on the band to gauge interest in our area. I have trouble finding any of my canadian brethren out here who know anything about these guys. I've searched the forum and couldn't find anything about 05 club / tour dates. They came here last year at the Avalon, great show but I missed it, need to know if they are coming back. I know some lesbians that want me to bring them

.
Cheers

No tour announced as of yet...hopefully not long after the Nov. 1st release :jump
Saw the Avalon show last year. Great rocker.
Ball game at Fenway the same night.
Hip'll play Boston when the Sox win the Penant again...WHICH WILL BE NEVER!
LOL!
There is at least one other Hip fan in Boston who frequents this site - "Locked" is his username.

I was at that show too...I wish somebody recorded it, but no recording has emerged. I'm sure they will be back in Bean town on the next tour...maybe a stop a Bill's??? one can hope huh?
Are they hot lesbians or LPGA style?
ah-hem....
YOU RANG Chris???
Cheers all..
yes, they played Avalon (only one show in 2004) in the great state of Mass. for the first time in a long time (we usually get multiple stops)..
This was the first time in three tours that I took a break from filming.. and just my luck, nobody else filmed or taped it...!
too bad because it was a stellar show, with a great "Grace" Gord microphone stand battle and a rare appearance of "twist My Arm"..
Anyhey
Some things that keep the band coming back to Massachusetts:
Hary Sinden is Gord D's godfather (long story)
Gord D. 's brother does all the music / sound system for the "Garden" (formerly the Fleetcenter) for all the Bruins and celtics games..
He lives in Somerville, Mass and that's why the band has played so many stints in the tiny Somerville theater...
***Little known fact,, The Hip were only the 2nd act to perform in the Fleetcenter (aka New Boston Garden) when they did it on the 10/23/95 Page / Plant tour (REM was the first)... and the HIp were the first act to play after the acoutic ceiling tiles were installed..
And yes, amazingly I am one of the few Boston-born Hip fans and have never had the priviledge of visiting Canada, the Fair homeland of my favorite band and some of the nicest and coolest fans on the planet..
(whew!)
no about these lesbians...???
