woke up this morning to sadly find my bunny had died in the middle of the night..quite the shock..she was only 5 years old, and seemed perfectly happy last night...i never realized how smart those damn things are..fully litter trained...no cage...i also didn't realize how sad i would be today....she will be missed..she was my buddy....
Sorry to hear that, thats sad news. Pets really do become part of the family.
My condolences opiated....words cannot describe how hard it is to say goodbye to a member of the family. So sad.
Oh...sorry..

thanks guys...had to bury her in the backyard...i haven't cried this much in a long time...and yes..pets are members of the family...you just don't realize it so much at the time....
sorry to hear that opiated, I love animals and I still miss my dog who died back in 1999 it was like losing a friend.

(")_(") Rest in peace little friend..
Opiated, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I looked after a rabbit for someone for several weeks, and I couldn't get over what a smart little guy he was. They really are characters.
The only bad thing about having pets is they don't live nearly as long as we want them to. I wish you only the best memories of your little pal. I know this is a tough time for you.
i'm so sorry to here ur buddy died

i have a rabbit of my own thats getting kinda old but its really smart to. was easy to litter train him. i will appreciate him more now to her about yours! so sad! :o
Sorry Opiated. I got my first dog 6 months ago, and can completely understand what you are feeling. I never understood how bonded one could get with an animal until I got my dog. He's seriously like my best friend. I can imagine that the grief is very real. Sorry dude.
Mick
here's where i buried her....thanks again for the kind words..they really are appreciated...
Sorry to hear about your bunny. Currenlty I have fish and a cat who is 15 and not doing so well. I was thinking about getting a bunny after - well you know.
Are rabbits as independant as cats? Does the litter smell as bad as a cats? I work a lot of hours and sometimes, I dont get home to 10pm. Do you think a rabbit would be suitable for someone like me?

rabbits can be as independant...they're really really smart...if you clean the litter daily, then you shouldn't notice much of a smell...as long as you give him/her some love when you get home....i'm not sure how hard they are to litter train though...mine already was...but she was only four months when i got her....very lovely animals...and although mine died young, they can live up to 12 - 15 years...i don't suggest giving them lettuce though, as they can get the runs quite easily...bunky loved bananna and carrots....any more questions, feel free to PM me!!
