yeah..the kings of leon cd is great, as is the stripes...
I agree and disagree with LK at the same time.

Disagreement... Green Day's American Idiot is excellent. The title track is good, yet it's the weakest track on the disc. Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Wake Me Up When September Ends and Jesus of Suburbia are all great songs. I thought Green Day hit a lull with their releases after Nimrod, but with American Idiot I think they made it back, huge.

Agreement... Foo Fighters!!! In Your Honour gets my vote for best album of 2005 so far. The acoustic disc is great and has some pretty, moving songs. And then there's the rock disc. It is Dave Grohl and the Foos at their blistering, hard rocking best!! I'm surprised Dave doesn't shred his vocal cords to pieces, given the intensity with which he sings the lyrics. All in all, great stuff!
Green day - american idiot - album of the year
Audioslave- never understood how anyone can like that crap . To be yourself is the worst song ever IMO. It sounds like a song i would hear on sesame street
Pearl Jam- im sure their new album will be absolutely amazing....greatest live band going
White Stripes- like the new one alot
Coldplay- If i had a little sister im sure she would dig them.
Album of the Year:

New Pornographer's Twin Cinema

Awesome. Yeah! :thumb:

.

Except that it was released in Sept '04.

Audioslave on Sesame Street? Uh, OK.
I don't have the Audioslave disc, but I like what I've heard so far. American Idiot is fantastic! Not a single dud on the entire thing. "Jesus of Suburbia" is the coolest 9-minute opus I've ever heard (with the exception of "Killerwhaletank" of course).

Other amazing records from 2005 (so far):

Foo Fighters- In Your Honor
Matt Mays & El Torpedo- Self-titled
Son Volt- Okemah and the Melody of Riot
Cuff the Duke- Self-titled
Kathleen Edwards- Back to Me
Hugh Dillon Redemption Choir- The High Cost of Low Living
Greg Macpherson Band- Night Flares
Coldplay- X & Y (I don't care what anyone says. I freakin' love these guys)

Well call it the best album of the last calendar year then.

Hey everybody its big bird .... " You know kids...to be yourself is all that you can do "

Its a cheesey song.

I'm gonna take the OLP fan bashing Audioslave as "cheesey" as my ironic moment of the day.
har har

BTW, Ryan Adams' answering bell is a really good tune.
