Just wondering if any 'basers are going to be at the Coldplay concert at DTE Energy tomorrow night. I'll be there on the hill with about 20 friends. We're going early to have some tailgating goodness too!
Wow, anybody that sees these guys on this tour will be totally blown away. They only played about 1.5h, but hell it was perfect. It was raining but nobody seemed to care.

The light show kicked some major ass too.

Setlist in no particular order:

Square One
Politik
Yellow
White Shadows
Don't Panic
In My Place
Clocks
God Put a Smile Upon My Face
The Scientist
Fix You
Talk
Swallowed in the Sea
Til Kingdom Come
Speed of Sound
X & Y (i think)
Amsterdam
A Rush of Blood to the Head
(could be a couple more)

I really wanted to hear Trouble or Spies, but no biggy considering what they gave us.
I was supposed to go to Darien tomorrow night but had to sell the tickets since I have a grad school class that night. I was looking forward to it...maybe next time. I would be happier if someone said the show sucked so I wouldn't feel bad not going.
I'm going with the woman and a couple of friends to Darien Lake for the whole day tomorrow and then catching the concert at night. We've got lawn seats which should be pretty sweet. That setlist is incredible. I look forward to hearing Square One live.
that setlist is exactly what you will here at darien.

they don't deviate far from it night to night
thought it also might be worth noting that they made up the setlist as they went, they stopped every couple songs to talk to the crowd and discuss what the next handful of songs would be... i thought it was kinda cool to do that on the fly

...at one point chris martin even said "we were having an argument on what song to play next... so we voted and don't panic won 3-1"...

checking setlists from past shows, i would say 98% of the songs you saw, have been played at almost every other show. the order changes a bit.

i hate to burst your bubble, but i highly doubt they were deciding what to play on the fly.

it doesnt matter what they play every single i have heard on the radio sounds the same, most times i cant tell if its the new song or old
What chancellor said aside, I look forward to the concert tonight and that setlist is pretty sweet. I've never seen them live before so I look forward to hearing all of them.
Yup, that setlist is pretty much what we heard. They didn't play Don't Panic or X&Y, but they did play Low, and Green Eyes. Yellow was the only tune from Parachutes that they played, which was a slight disappointment. Martin has quite a bit of energy when he's not hunkered over his piano. The encore was Swallowed in the Sea, In My Place, and Fix You. I think that's what they've done at every show. Rilo Kiley, the opener, was very good at times, and at other times a bit of a bore. We got pretty decent spots on the lawn and the day at the park was awesome.
