What's this about Gord Sinclair performing in some manner coming up in the next few days? The Hipbase homepage says something about it but has very little details. I heard he plays the bagpipes, maybe there's some gathering of hardcore Scottish people that hired him to attract the younger, hipper Scots that don't make it out to the Scottish Festival often enough.
Welcome to All Things Scottish! If it's not Scottish, it's CRAP!
It's a Toronto radio station morning show (www.edge.ca) having a charity golf tournament..I'm not sure what he's playing.
At last year's tournament, he played golf, and then took the stage with "Supergroup" and played bass...
Yeah, I would imagine it's similar to last years... if I recall correctly it's essentially cover songs played by various established Canadian musicians... all I remember from last year is 'Cortez the Killer' by Neil Young...

I recorded it, and put out a DVD: http://tracker.hipfans.com/torrents-details.php?id=7

hi Chris...
would you still have that 2004 concert you mentioned above - with OLP and Gord Sinclair?
fwiw... the guy fronting that show was Aaron Garner.
I'm his dad, and honestly, the show was a pretty proud moment for me -- you have a guy that's basically an unknown, comes in and does a pretty credible job fronting a group of established Canadian rock stars.
it made me realize that night that Aaron had "the shit".
anyway, if you still had that show still kicking around in an archive somewhere, it would be greatly appreciated if you could make it available to me.
cheers...
Rick Garner
I've got it somewhere....
I'll try to find it this weekend. Follow-up with me if you don't hear from me by Monday.
well thanks... that would be very cool!
