I'm wondering if there is any answer to this question that I pose? Is there any substance at all to their music? Am I being a music snob? Is their music catchy? I just can't hear it. I tend to agree with K-OS about the Black Eyed Peas.

As for Fergie, I agree that she probably has a lot to do with their popularity. I don't own any Shania Twain albums so looks alone can't convince me to buy an album.

"Bridging The Gaps" is a solid record from start to finish and it definitely did what it's title suggests - it bridged the gap between hip hop and pop music, and launched their careers into overdrive. That album also featured Toronto based chanteuse Esthero on a couple of tracks.

This music...and I lose that term loosely is nothing but jingoistic fluff...."Let's get retarted/it started in here" "Oh no no no, don't pfunk with my heart" repeated countless times over and over again is simply not music.

But it does run the gammit of coverage...they've captured an audience as young as 10 all the way up to 40 something year-old men trying desperately to cling to the their once vibrant youth, as they roll up, top down, in their 2004 Ford Mustangs...don't laugh, I've seen it countless times.
