This weekend is the big White Stripes show in Van city. I was just wondering what the best route from Calgary was. How long will it take? Any places I should stop at? I can't friggin wait!

i'll be making the trek from edmonton for the sunday show... first road trip in a long time cant wait.

I've done the drive from Calgary to Van City at least 3 dozen times, and I'll never get tired of it. It's easily one of the most beautiful stretches of highway on the planet. It usually takes about 10-12 hours, depending on whether or not you're obeying the speed limit. You can go nuts and do it in one day, or you can take it easy and stay overnight somewhere along the way (Kamloops is always a good half-way spot) You definitely need to check out the "Golden Rim Motor Inn". It's right on the trans-Canada. You can't miss it. And of course, Banff and Lake Louise are pretty freakin' awesome. Sounds like fun. Have a great trip!

I will for sure. What's the #. Should I ask for Opiated? If all goes to plan we should be rolling through on Saturday afternoon. I already know I'll want to hear Flamenco.
