I've heard a bit of Mar Volta though, that could be cool. I might be interested in that pre sale. Haven't been to a good metal show lately either.
i reccomend checking out their sself titled debut first, it's probably their best album, it's a bit more raw and a lot funkier than Toxicity and Mesmerize...i like pretty much all of their stuff but there are some songs i don't care for all that much.
I'll try and check them out here soon.
Just remembered I have seen a great metal show recently though. Queens of the Stone Age put on a fantastic show here in Calgary this spring. Anyway...
QOTSA are pretty killer, i don't know just exactly how good they are without Nick on bass, but probably still pretty good, not sure if they qualify as "metal" or not though....no matter what anybody tries to tell you though, SOAD definately are a METAL band.
i was unable to get tickets for the toronto gig today, but i am still gonna head down and scalp some floor tickets
