Over heard Rob Baker this weekend say that the hip are only on for three songs at live 8.
yup, heard the same thing yesterday...
You overheard correctly. He was walking away as I asked him the question.
hey...it's free, so I won't complain about it....As much as I'd love to see a longer set from the boys, I paid $0 for my tix, and I'm getting to see some of the bigger names in canrock...
Robbie also mentioned The Hip would only be playing 3 songs on his radio interview in London.
i predict:
SIKU
Poets
NOIS

WTF??? if the hip only get 3 songs...what about OLP and Sam?? How many wil Neil get...im starting to rethink going to this thing...anyone have a schedule?
Rob said in an interview on FM96 that they get 15 minutes to play and that they might try to squeeze in 4 short songs. I read an interview with Nikki Sixx and he said that Motley Crue had 15 minutes to play. I also saw somewhere that Pink Floyd were doing a 3 song set. So it looks like each band will only get 15 minutes to play.
I think I am going to get rid of my tickets. I don't think that battling the traffic on the 400 will be worth it for a few short 15 minute sets.
I still plan on going regardless. It will be cool to see all these acts in one day...I mean it's not like I'm never going to another Hip show again. 3 songs live beats 3 songs playing in my stereo anyday. I know the traffic and crowd will could be annoying, but what's different than any other outdoor concert? I can't wait!!!
I just saw also that Floyd is only getting 20 minutes.
Isn't that like only half of a Floyd song?
this thing still doesn't touch SARSstock...at least the Barrie edition doesn't.
