OK, so I've wondered in the past about Jeremy Roenick, is he a fun-loving, thoughtful yet outspoken hockey player, or is he a spoiled asshat who plays hockey? I could never make up my mind, so I decided to write it off as one of those little mysteries of life and move on.

True, but I think telling your fans to kiss your ass is going a wee bit too far. You'll never get fans back to the game by spewing that kind of crap.

C'mon...you can't honestly believe that JR speaking out like this is going to make one iota of difference if/when the NHL resumes playing? I don't think there are too many fans out there who supported the players yesterday, but upon reading this flipped sides...it's just JR being JR...nothing more, nothing less...

I have no problem with anything he said in that interview. he makes good points, except for the fan comments, other than that he is right.

Oh, the guy is definitely a schmuck, don't get me wrong. In fact, all these guys are. They get paid millions to play an f'in child's game (not that it is not a tremendous game at that)! But it's not like they are going out and researching a cure for cancer for god's sake! Such self righteousness and egotism disgusts me! We pay these dicks all this $$ and they say shit like this, kill people in ferrari's (Heatley), drive their trucks into trees (Chiasson), committ adultry with the wives of fellow team mates (Shannahan), do coke and get caught in the windsor tunnel (Proby) and are basically big sluts that cheat on their wives (Chelios / Hull / etc.).

When he was on the blues, he banged craig janney's wife. I had never heard of this until I moved to Kansas City (many blues fans here). He also banged some prevalent newscasters' daughter. These were partially the cause of his trade to Hartford in like 95-96.
