Wave after wave
Very Awesome show. I was scared just walking up to the venue at this place. The slums of Hamilton I tell ya. The opening band wasn't all that bad. Musically, they were very rocking but I wasn't a fan of the lead singer. They didn't seem that original to me.
Anyways, good to see Beanmedic and Chancellor again. Also met Robby briefly after the show. I asked him how many songs they were getting for Live 8. He said, "Three songs, we're warming up for Celine Dion." as he chuckled and moved on.
As Adam mentioned, no b-sides at the moment, but he said they had about 4 b-sides per album they just weren't ready to release to the record company just yet. He also mentioned Strippers would be doing a full Canadian tour in September or October I think and they'd be back in the Hamilton area.
Small Town bringdown sounded pretty cool. Also nice to see a little Putting Down. During Wave after Wave, robbie was just going nuts shaking his hair and rocking out. He sang White Limo very aweseome. I think he should get some more back up vocals on the next hip album.
All in All, a great night.

Slums of Hamilton? Come on it wasnt that bad...
Jamie you have never been to the London Lounge. Now that is the slums of Hamilton
OK, it wasn't ALL that bad but it wasn't the greatest spot for a Strippers Show. They could have had it at Whiskey Joes or even Club 77 would have been better.
77 isn't too bad for a show. Saw Sam Roberts there a few years back. Grady's coming there next month as well. I didn't make it to the Stripper's show, but heard they will be coming back in the fall. Sounds like I missed a good one.

I was there too, March 6, 2003. That was an awesome night. 30 minute Hot Metal Streaking down the 401 version plus I picked up this hot chick too..hahahhaa
Hey Everyone, i'm new to the boards here, been meaning to join up for awhile now. Anyways, I also caught the Strippers show and I was quite impressed. I thought it was really neat to see them in a smaller venue like The Underground. I was just shocked there wasnt a bigger turnout at all. The guys seemed really appreciative of those who made it out. I took a bunch of pics, here they are

And slums of Hamilton you gotta be kidding!
Great pics--thank you!
(I still can't get used to the sight of Rob singing!)
Haha yeah it was kinda weird especially the low pitched vocals in a few of the songs

How many were there? Saw Jon Spencer at the Corktown last week, that was small, maybe 40-50 people.
So it was the slums of Hamilton and Club 77 would of been better?
wasn't gonna pipe in on this but....you do realize that 77 is directly above the Underground right?
ya, same building isnt it?
