I know that I'll catch a lot of flack for this, but being a long time BNL fan, I couldn't resist grabbing Steven Page's solo effort The Vanity Project. Wow. Lots of wow. All the lush vocals without the silliness. It really is a must have, in my opinion. I love the man's voice, and it is so well displayed on this recording. Great, great stuff. :thumb:

I remember hearing a great quote about his voice from Maie Pauts on 102.1 The Edge here in Toronto. "He could sing the phonebook, and it would sound beautiful."
I really like that quote, and it's very dead on. I imagine the phonebook would sound beautiful in his hands. i saw that at the store today, but didn't pick it up...damn..now i wish i had..i picked up a classic bowie instead (the man who sold the world..great album by the way..) i should have picked up both!!
A BNL show is a guranteed good time, I don't care what anybody says. I've been a BNL fan since back in the day when they used to wish for a
hundred dollars!
I appreciate the heads-up & I'm grabbin' the FLACs as we...er, uh...I type. Page is truly an amazing vocalist; live and in the studio. If I was certain of the spelling, I'd even say he's an 'impressario'. (sp?)

I like the single, but im not the biggest BNL fan, IK tihnk Gordon album is a masterpeice but after that only a few songs catch me. NOT CHIMPANZEE ONE.
But im debating this album.
It really is excellent. As I mentioned before, none of the silly stuff BNL indulges in on occassion...simply beautiful song writing. :thumb:
