Okay, I know it's not polite to poke fun, and anybody who's ever had to read a teleprompter knows it aint easy... but damn, this guy is the greatest sportscaster ever:

Try to stop laughing long enough to hear his: "Boom Goes The Dynamite" catch phrase near the end.

And the reaction of the co-anchors at the end of the piece (especially that yummy female anchor) is solid.

Passes to the man, he shoots it and boom goes the dynamite.

Because of this guy they are selling Boom Goes The Dynamite t-shirts on eBay. Apparently the ESPN guys were using that phrase with great regularity, until they found out the circumstances that poor kid found himself in (the regular sportscaster didn't show up for work and he volunteered to do it). We analyzed it pretty thoroughly at work the other week and determined that it looks like he regularly wears glasses, but decided not to on TV, and realized too late that he couldn't read the teleprompter without them.

Either that, or he simply froze.

Regardless, he looked like he came down with a major case of "deer-in the headlights"-itis.

Kinda feel sorry for the kid.
