I've got a fan, two fans actually, doing jack-all in my 900 degree apartment right now. Anybody else feel my pain?

It's hot dude... I said in my Manhattan French.
It's been raining of biblical proportions here in Cowtown for what feels like 28 days and 28 nights now. What's a fan?
I live in an apartment too, I have a A/C unit in my bedroom window so at least my bedroom is icy cold, but the rest of my apartment is hotter than hell, I hate it!! :x I think my number one pet peeve of all time is trying to sleep in a really hot humid room, Id rather get a strip tease from Rosie O'Donnell.

Wow. That's gross.
I feel your pain, Steven. I've got a botched wiring job on my newly installed AC in my rental and having the AC non-functional is making me sweat like a guilty party on the stand sweating bullets under cross-examination. not fun. :x

I know exactly what you mean... I've got the fans going full blast, and they help a bit, but still...

Oh, and Lizard King, your imagination is WAY too active. Now not only will I have a tough time sleeping 'cause it's too hot, there's a better than average chance I'll accidentally think of Rosie stripping every time I get close to sleep. Thanks dude. Tongue
I have AC in the condo, I have used it once this year so far...

But Lance, you live in Winterpeg. Do they even get summer? (As spoken in my best, "Toronto is the Centre Of The Universe" voice)

Stephen, I feel your pain, except I don't have any fans. And to make matters worse, I've paid for a condo, the downpayment anyway, that has A/C, but it won't be finished until February, so I'm not going to invest in any fans or A/C for this summer.

Mmmm, Rosie O'donnel.
Does anyone remember this god awful movie?l

*shudder* I do remember that movie. Something involving "Eden" right?

As for the great debate, tonight's the night we un pack that AC that was here when we moved in and see if it works. This could end up being pretty entertaining though -- last time I installed a window unit it went crashing to the ground.

Cheers

Pat

IIRC, Saskatchewan banned the film from theatres becasue of its sexual content... I'm pretty sure THAT will never happen to a Rosie O'Donnel project ever, ever again.
In the dead of winter, I try to avoid complaining about the cold on this forum, because living on the Ohio River, I always figured such a thing would seem rather silly to those freezing their grapes off in Edmonton or Saskatoon or Regina or Winnepeg or Quebec or Fredericton, etc.....

We feel your pain here...although it isn't as severe as Alberta. We have been getting pissed on non-stop for the last few weeks. And I think it's only about +10 right now, brutal. So Stephen consider yourself lucky that you need a fan right about now.

It's been SO fucking hot! This is so much more like August than June! It was like 80 or higher the other day! That's the only thing, besides stupid people, that I hate about my job.

At least the guests can go swim in the water park and we've got the air conditioned breakroom!
I work at a Beer Store, so I have to listen to every idiot that comes in the door say "Gee it's nice in here". Then they look at me in my pants and polar fleece and say "youre a little over dressed!".

Some people don't understand that in order for the beer to be served cold, half the friggin building has to hover around 4 or 5 degrees!

Either way, its not a bad place to work, but my house is currently like 28 degrees, it's disgusting!
