I am putting together a CD for a giveaway at my sons b-day party for the Adults... and looking for suggestions on easy listening material... more recent than not but I'll take some older stuff too.
The idea is just to have some cool summer tunes and possibly introduce people to some new music...
Joel Plasketts new CD for sure has a couple I like
Devils and Dust from Bruce... may give me one..
Anything on Hugh's new CD qualify ?
?????
thanks
If your looking for some recent acoustic/slower songs for a discerning adult, look no further than Ron Sexsmith my friend, "Retriever" his latest album is full of great songs, come to think of it all his albums are. The new Blue Rodeo album "Are You Ready" may be of some use as well, sorry for not giving song titles, Im on my way out soon. Hope that helps. :thumb:

Yup. Check out the tune "Puzzle I Am". Definitely one of the best songs Hugh has ever written.
some Gord Downie solo material would fit well

Wintersleep: amazing acousticy band from the east coast, definately check them out
Johnny Cash: Personal Jesus/Hurt

Although not recent, Clapton's "Unplugged" is like a gold mine in the Yukon during 1873 when it comes to what you're looking for.
