I feel your pain Opiated, I worked in a grocery store for 7 years when I was 15 and I had to listen to that soft rock-elevator-adult contemporary shit over and over and over again, I have hundred's of those damn songs in my head now, Ive been trying to get them out for years now. They will haunt you.

I feel your pain. Spent 9 years in grocery having to listen to either the "elevator-adult contemporary" or "the hot new sound of today's country!" for up to 8 hours a day. Needless to say, I was the first one at the store stereo system once closing time hit.
However, on a better note, summertime in a grocery store is always great for the high volume of beautiful ladies in summerwear picking up supplies on their way to the beach. [Note: for those not in the know, the incidence of "Cleanup in aisle X" announcements over the intercom goes up significantly in the summertime... and not only due to the odd jar of salsa hitting the floor!]

hock:
I am experiencing this pain right now as I am in my 7th year of working in a grocery store having to listen to "elevator-adult contemporary" or "the hot new sound of today's country!"

That is a benefit, but on the other hand sometimes it's the opposite....

I just started working in an amusement park, and the log flume ride has a theme song. On the days I work the flume I have to listen to that one song over and over again for up to 11 straight hours.

Wow, that was kind :? :?
If I hear Hollaback Girl from Gwen Stefani one more time I think I might stab someone in the eyeball. That is without a doubt the most annoying "song" out there today.

Yeah, it is pretty bad, but at least I know how to spell Bananas now!
Unfortunately, I can't spell bnaannaas yet. Somebody send me the song.
Just kidding, don't.
