i'm sorry, but anyone who would buy a piece of paper with a bar code on it, is an idiot.

There has to be a better way of getting around all this scalping and forgery. I think the best way is to eliminate actual tickets, and go from there. Something like a TicketMaster card with a bar code, you buy it from TM its got your info on it and a bar code and use it to buy tickets and the ticket info should be stored on the card at the TM outlets, so only you can use it, then at the show they scan it and the info comes up on some type of portable data terminal. Maybe thats dumb or far-fetched a bit, but I think there has to be a better way.

thats a pretty good idea man :thumb: but i wonder if they did do something like that people might hack the cards themselves kinda like when folks hack the bell xpressvu cards to get free satelite, all the channels...

What were these people thinking? THis reminds me about the scam you hear about on the news every once and awhile. Someone gets a phone call saying they won a thousand dollars, but first they need to give their visa number to collect

I did that for the first time in January and it was rather interesting. What they do is scan the ticket and after that bar code goes in nobody else can use that ticket so you do not want to lose your ticket!!!
