what a killer disc! i can't seem to stop listening to it, probably the catchiest metal album i've heard since Breach Of Trust-Songs For Dying Nations, anybody even remotely interested in SOAD needs to check this one out for sure. IMO it's on par with, if not better than Toxicity, and much better than Steal This Album.
I know you probably think I just like to bash your posts. But I have to say I saw the Video for one of the songs, can't rmember what it is called. But that has to be one of the worst freaking songs I have ever heard. Just my opinion
B.Y.O.B.
interesting you should say that though, i've been hearing alot of people saying the same thing, i haven't seen the video yet, i like the song, but the rest of the album is much better for the most part.
I was a little unsure of the new single BYOB, until I figured out the words (it took a few listens), now I really like it. They have a very origional sound.

I hated "B.Y.O.B." the first few times I heard it, but trust me: it grows on you big time. One of my buddies who prides himself on his musical knowledge went so far as to claim it was as dumb and as vapid as a Britney Spears song, and singled out the "Everybody's going to the party / Have a real good time" line as evidence. I'm sure Britney Spears has never written a song that includes the line "Why don't presidents fight the war? / Why do they always send the poor?" of course, but that's semantics for ya.
...and as for the rest of the album, it's bloody amazing. I'm not sure where I'd rank it with the rest of the SOAD catalogue, but I can guarantee you two things: one, I've been listening to it multiple times a day since its release; and two, "Lost in Hollywood" is a freaking masterpiece.

"Tony Danza cuts in line" and "my cock is much bigger than yours" two sure to be classic lines for sure. I think it's brilliant as well, they know just how seriously to take themselves I think
