With all this talk of a PJ tour thought Id throw some gas on the fire. Got a favorite PJ album? A memorable concert? Love to hear it since I have yet to see them live, hopefull this supposed tour will be my big chance.

Myself Ive been a big PJ fan since day one, my personal favorites are
Vitalogy, Riot Act and Yield, mainly because my favorite songs are on those albums. I enjoy all the albums, but if had to pick a least favorite it would be No Code, it just doesnt flow like the rest of em. IMO. Favorite tunes are:

State of Love and Trust
In Hiding
Thin Air
Immortality
Nothingman
Rearviewmirror
Low Light
Ghost

and a bunch of others Smile **Note, sorry if your favorite is Lost Dogs, I tried to put it on the list but it didnt show up?**
Ten, one of the best albums of all time.
VS. owns them all, best grunge album there is, period.
PJ's best album IMO is no code...a nice mix of rockers and realxin tunes...the first time i saw PJ was a no code show in 2000...present tense, lukin, in my tree, sometimes, and mankind...awsome

vitology and riot act are a close second with 10 and vs in third. LEast fav is binaurl...never could get into that disc??

I don't own any Pearl Jam but I was looking for something today and came across "We Are The Next Us" on a Pear Jam message board and two of the posters said they were interested in the hip.

make sure to read what the last poster says.
No Code for me as well. At the risk of sounding like an elitist it weeded out the fans from the bandwagon jumpers. I must say however that my favour album depends on what mood I'm in (much like The Hip) and is ever-revolving. No Code seems to be the one I always come back to though.

At the moment though I am rediscovering Riot Act. Once again, much like Hip albums I find it stands out much better as a complete set of 15 tracks rather than individual songs.
I guess I am in the majority, I love No code the album comes full circle when played live. In My Tree, Off He Goes, Hail Hail, Smile and Lukin are amazing live tracks. I wish they played Who You Are but I do not think they have played on the last three tours. I hope they tour soon
I gotta say No Code as well, just a bunch of great tunes on the cd, never get tired of listenin to it. but Yield, Riot Act and Lost Dogzz are wicked as well........
Ten has to be it in my books - Im also playing the crap outta "Live at Benaroya Hall". Some awsome versions of alot of great tracks.
I love Yield, it has so many good songs on it and brings back alot of memories........probably my favorite Pearl Jam song on it is Lowlight.

it took me alot of listens before I could really enjoy that album, but its probably the one I listen to the least of them all. Lots of love for No Code here, it is a good album, but I dont listen to it alot I must admit, maybe I need to hear those tunes loud and live before I can fully appreciate them. Live at Benaroyal Hall is playing quite frequently on my stereo lately too :thumb:

the no code tour was 1996. that is when i saw them.

VS is by far their best cd.
For me, it be Yield and it be a landslide. Such an incredible album, and "Faithfull" and "In Hiding" might be two of the most underrated Pearl Jam songs of all-time. Second- and third-favourites would probably be No Code and Vitalogy, in that order.

Steve
Ten, all the way. I was hooked from the very first time I listened to it and I will never tire of that album. Riot Act is a very close second though...
i rank em like this:

1. Vs.
2. Yield
3. Riot Act
4. Vitalogy
5. No Code
6. Lost Dogs
7. Ten

and i cna't rank Binaural because i've never heard it all the way through , i do own the single for nothing as it seems though, and if the rest of the album is as good, then i'd probably rank it somewhere above ten and below Vitalogy. I can't believe Ten is getting most of the votes, it has the best singles no doubt, but as an album, i just don't think it can compete with any of the others, not to mention, Jeremy gets on my nerves sometimes.

ps: if their MTV unplugged performance was a cd, it'd probably be my #1.
