Interesting... If I wasn't gonna be in Spain next year, I'd definately try to go... I have heard the Stones rumour though, although I hadn't heard anything about support acts...

That would be almost as great as if they ever got to tour with two members of Led Zeppelin!! Wouldn't that be something?!
They opened for Page/Plant in the US on the Unledded tour; and the opened for the Stones on four or five European dates back in the 90s.

Sorry, should've been more clear with the sarcasm.
Selfishly I'm asking please just play this one show and don't tour Canada at the same time as Pearl Jam.
At the time of this rumoured show and the Pearl Jam show in Winnipeg, I'm going to be in beautiful Thunder Bay. That's going to be a lot of Aeroplan miles before student assistance comes in.
I wonder if my thesis superviser is a Stones fan....

Edit -- I now see PJ is coming to Thunder Bay on the 9th, so my Winnipeg road trip will have to wait.
As a Moncton resident, I think I can safely say that the Stones/Hip in early September, Pearl Jam in Halifax at the end of September and then U2 at the Bell Centre in November would make for an absolutley orgasmic concert year for me!
