So, I jammed with James on Sunday and he told me he was no longer in Blue Rodeo. All I have to say is, those are some enormous shoes to fill, musically.

I was surprised and quite disappointed when I saw that announcement on their Web site. James is a fine musician and as you say, it'll be hard for Bob Packwood to fill that spot (though I'm sure he's a great player, too.)

judging from the show i saw in kamloops, he's a great replacement...they sounded just as good as ever, and some great solos from the new guy

Bob Egan is a great guitar player and a nice guy, and he's still in the band. Bob Packwood is the new keyboard player, replacing James. Do you suppose both of them will continue to go by Bob?
