I wouldn't write them off just yet: they've still got a solid nucleus, two of the best young players in the world and a solid group of kids coming up through the reserves (Spector, Bardsley, Jones, Eagles, Rossi--I'd love to see them taking on bigger roles next season). Manchester United has been written off several times in the past few years, but as long as Fergie is there and as long as Rooney, Ronaldo, Ferdinand and Van Nistelrooy keep playing at the top of their games, United isn't going away.

switching gears to the Champions League, wow what a comeback by Liverpool hock: now its 3-3!! I thought after it was 3-0 it was over, could be a wild finish, stay tuned...

Liverpool just did the unthinkable, they won the Champions League on penalty kicks, thats an amazing comeback, one of the best Ive ever seen.

what a game...i don't know about anybody else, but i really don't care about hockey anymore, after seeing a tournament like this, and ending with such a quality game...

I'm working at a call centre during the afternoons this summer, and we call Ireland -- no one was interested at all in what I was saying during that game, and every household I talked to had the game on in the background. Incredible finish!
