was in town today & interviewed on the local radio station and mentioned how he was listening to it all the way here on his drive from edmonton then the dj asked him what time he tuned in and ron said when the hips courage was on is when he tuned in....pointless, but cool

It was so loaded with Hip references and lyric quotes that it appeared to be making Gord a lil bit uncomfortable... but certainly proved that Ron is one of us.

During the Juno tribute video before The Hip performed Ron spoke about the band which looked to have been taped at the Juno Cup game in Selkirk. He had on The Hip's 2002 World Tour longsleeve shirt. He probably picked it up at the Toronto show in 2002 Chris mentioned.

Yeah it was a bit weird, very corny and kinda forced at times with him slipping in the hip references but it was cool to hear Gord talk about sports.
