i've seen The Doers and Statues before, and they're both great live (especially The Doers), and Run Chico Run sound amazing (based on the two songs i listened to on their website (I seriously suggest that EVERYBODY check all of these bands out).
Might be time to grow up from the whole "hahaha oh my god its 4/20...tehehehetehe" stage.

What's the big deal about 4/20 anyway? I mean, Hitler's birthday, chemical compounds, anything?
As a sidebar I can think of better ways to remember Bob Marley. For me, that would be sitting down between the headphones, putting Exodus on the turntable, and turning up the volume really loud.

Speaking of which, I saw The Wailers play a couple weekends ago here in Cincinnati. I bought tickets several weeks in advance, but at that time, I did not realize that the Final Four games were being played on that Saturday evening. I was torn, but decided to go to the concert simply because a legendary band takes precedence over Carolina v. MSU. Once I arrived at the venue, however, stood in line for 30 mins. just to get in the door only to discover that some crappy "opening act" was preparing to spend the next hour singing over pre-recorded reggae tracks, I was really beginning to second-guess my decision.
But once The Wailers took stage, my reservations vanished. The sound was incredible, and the band played nothing but age-old Marley cuts with passion, energy, and precision. It was fantastic.
So if anyone catches wind of The Wailers heading to your hometown, spend the $15 and go check 'em out - you won't regret it.
