hall of fame today...great day to be a hip fan!

Makes you wonder...how in the blue hell did Avril win artist of the year? And nominated for songwriter of the year?

I agree with a post you made somewhere else. Tonight, the Hip will show'em how it's done. 20 years later...

It's a long way from Kingston Ontario to The Canadian Music Hall Of Fame. I look back on the old videos and it's like WHO KNEW!? They were and still are so unassuming. Like someone once wrote if you didn't know who they were and saw them in a bar, they'd just be someone else there having a drink.

Bravo guys! You did it your way and you made it to the CMHOF! You certainly deserve it!

Well if getting into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame is the greatest achievement a band can receive in this country than no-one deserves it more!! Thanks for 20 years of amazing music, endless touring and amazing live shows.

Here's to 20 more baby!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else get a lump in their throat when they ran that intro for the Hip, it was nice to see all the kudos from other artists and people like David Suzuki etc... They played Fully than Grace Too, I guess any two songs would of sufficed, but it was nice to hear Fully, always been one of my favorite live Hip songs. Way to go Hip, you guys are the BEST!!!!!

excellent song choices, the live footage they showed reminded me a lot of halifax (which is where they should move the UN 8)

Yeah, me too... in fact I think I detected a tear or two running down my cheek. The intro was awesome... it was cool to see so many other famous Canadians of all walks of life praising the Hip. :thumb:

I'm such a pussy, I had tears in my eyes when I met them in Regina last year....2 years ago?....I dont know, but It was one of the best days of my life. I also had front row tickets!!! The only bad thing about that night was the crowd, especially after seing the 3 night run in Edmonton!!

Congrats boys. You deserve it. You have single handedly changed the Canadian music scene forever!!!
