IBE was the greatest Canadian rock album last year hands down, thats a joke, no wonder the Hip or Neil and whoever else never bother to show. I wouldnt either with that kind of judging. BLEEEECH! :x

I dont blame them one bit. When bands like Dicklesmack and Dum41 keep winning best album awards it kinda cheapens the whole thing. IMO. I shouldnt knock 41 too much they are good at the punk thing, but I hate punk rock. IBE is one of the Hip's best albums to date and the fact they are hall bound should of made that choice a lock, but no sum won probably cause they sold a shitload of albums in the US, because we know how much americans like they're crap, they buy it in great numbers, ahem just look at how many albums groups like N*STINK and Britney etc.. sell :x

Billy Talent just won Group of the Year... could have been worse, but still disappointing that the Hip didn't win it.

I don't know if it could have. Billy Talent is without a doubt the worst band in Canada right now. Not only is their talent questionable and their lyrics dubious, their on stage persona is the anti-thesis of everything that is cool in rock'n'roll. PLUS....the band member with the goofy Elvis-esque hair thanked their highschool in his acceptance speech. How square do you get?
