it wasn't that painful it took over three hours to get it done i had back surgery like two months before took off my brace to get it done it just goes numb but you do fell it more when they get close to the shin bone
after 3 hours i told the lady to stop she wanted to do more shading
i couldn't get the exact one though. we're bound to meet up at a hip show or lowest of the low at some point and you'd be pointing out that i stole the idea from you. but i like the location i just have to come up with an idea for the tattoo.
oh man if i see you guys at a hip or low show around here im gonna have to point that out to EVERYONE!! :mrgreen:
yep.... the wheels are turning in the head. my girlfriend already said she'll pay for it. so that made the wheels turn a little faster. we should have a contest........yeah coolest hip tattoo gets front row seats and backstage passes. of course the hip will have to be the judges. yep the wheels are turning.
on a different note......being a big NASCAR fan i seen the coolest dale jr. tattoo on this guy. pretty big and right on the arm. it would suck for him if he changes his number.
the hips saw my tattoo and could care less look said thats nice was at a radio station promotion so next time i will show them again'

ron
thats a bummer. i guess if you got a full back tattoo of gords face then you'd get a different reaction.
{for all of the younger, easily influenced hip fans i am only joking}
but then again you'd win the prize for the best show and tell.
Ron's is very cool, and I believe Summiteer has one as well.

I've always been partial to the idea of the gargoyle or some image that's meaningful to you with a certain lyric in a banner below:

"no dress rehearsal, this is our life" or something.

I've always entertained the idea that if I ever have a kid, get married, beat Super Mario Bros in one sitting, or some other life altering event, I'd get an image of Terry on my leg with this below:

"with will and determination, and grace too"
The coolest HIP tattoo would be the In Between tikki character logo on the HIP wristband. It's skin colour, but I've had it drawn with different colors and looks amazing. And with that I would add "So HIP it hurts." Of course there's also the simple red Canadian leaf with "HIP"on it .
As cool as a hip tat would be, keep in mind that it is forever. Don't do something you might regret. Got the hawks logo on my arm, and I won't wear short sleeves anymore for fear that I will look like an asshole.

You mean this thing?

(I'm gonna change my avatar soon, so it won't work for long)

I thought the same thing. But I wouldn't add anything to it, just the little tikki guy. We would know it's a hip thing - but everyone else would just think it's a cool tattoo.

Yes
i've decided that i'm going to meld the hip with myself for my tat.
it'll read tragically phipps {phipps being my nickname-philip, phil, phipps...} in between the two words i'm putting a picture {little crazy hands flaming guy from IBE perhaps} then another drawing of maybe a torn concert stub with my stage name on it. {bronco}
but i liked the idea that S. Dame has with a lyric that has personal meaning to it. it is for a lifetime......but you gotta live while you still know how. {tommy conwell 1990}
Which members of the HIP, if any have tattoos anybody know?
I'm pretty sure Gord S. has a tattoo of Paul's face on his right upper arm.
Ive thoughts of lots of tatoo ideas, but I am always deterred when I see peopel with ten year old tatoos that look like a green blob of shit on their skin.
