Lucas says this could be rated pg-13 which i think is a good sign considering the last 2 movies were aimed at younger children. The most star wars fans are around our age (20-30) and we've been waiting so long for a movie that fits us. Hopefully darker will=better!

That's what it was rated for the re-release a few years back.
I hear Lucas wrote the script, so there's no reason to think the dialogue will be any less execrable than it was in the previous two movies. On the other hand, I'm a qualified defender of 'Attack of the Clones,' so I don't think the prequels are entirely poop and would be happy with a moderate improvement on the last effort.

Yeah, me too in a way...that is defintely one character I could do without... I just hope they don't bring him/it back in 3. Lucas really should have given the screenplay up for someone to write, especially the dialogue. So many tacky parts that make me cringe. :?
Hope the 3rd makes up for the lost parts in 1 and 2, looks like it has potential.

Yeah, i really wished he would of asked speilberg for his help. I think it would of made a world of difference, but since lucas at the time had smaller children i think he geared it more towards that generation.

I remember going to the premiere of Attack of the Clones, and as soon as Jar Jar appeared on the screen the entire theatre started booing and throwing shit at the screen. Funny funny stuff. Good thing he was only in it for a couple of minutes.
I thought the first two prequels were absolute shite. Cringe inducing dialogue and weak character development were the main culprits, but I also thought there was just way too much CGI stuff. There's something to be said for using real actors in real costumes in real-life locations. I read that the new one is the first Star Wars film to be shot entirely in a studio using nothing but blue-screens. The only location shooting they did was in post-production just to get a few background shots.
CGI is great, and they can do amazing things these days (Gollum in Lord of the Rings was incredible), but sometimes old-school special effects are just better. At least Peter Jackson had the sense to use the gorgeous landscape of New Zealand for the LOTR flicks. The Star Wars prequels look way too cartoonish to me. That being said, I'll probably still be in the theatre when this thing comes out. I've seen the other 5, so I might as well see the last one as well. I just hope it's as dark and violent as I've heard.

Sorry Guys :oops: :oops: , an honest mistake
I do believe that is the last episode for grissom. He was quoted before the season as saying "If they come out with another CSI (ie NY), i am leaving!" There has been no talk as of late. But if he does leave, some would consider it a series finale :wink: :wink:
No Grissom = No CSI. To continue the show without him would be meaningless. To be honest, I don't like it that CBS began two new spinoffs. The show is great but it doesn't quite have the longevity of Law and Order yet to warrant spinoffs going at the same time. At least Kelsey Grammar waited until Cheers was over. I realize it's different with completely different casts/storylines in the other shows, but I have made a point not to watch them. I think it would ruin the original for me.

The Miami one isn't bad, but I really don't like the NY one. Gary Sinise is cool and he's a solid actor and everything, but the show itself kinda sucks. The original Vegas CSI will always be the best. And I agree, if William Peterson ends up leaving after this season, the show is done. I could see them trying to carry on with Catherine in the lead role, but it wouldn't last too long.
