a couple of posters, a couple of shirts, that's pretty much it, i dunno, i just never really come across much hip stuff, i don't really seek it out either though, now smashing pumpkins stuff on the other hand, i have lots of.

Let's see, I have: 3 posters, 5 shirts, 3 stickers, all studio albums and LBU, about 25 boots, a setlist from IBE in Baltimore, CMG autographed by Gord, 8 ticket stubs, a whole mess of photos, and a wonderful and attentive boyfriend (hey, I picked him up at a hip show, so it counts, right?) :lol: I am still in search of the elusive PP beltbuckle. I should have bought it when I had the chance!

ive got all tix stubs from shows (just cant find them-moved-in a box in bsment) except the few shows put on guest list or some will-call shows just check your id and say "go ahead" i must look like a freak "whaddya mean no stub no rteceipt ??????!!!!!!! coolest tix is from "trouble at the showplace" in buffalo where they took your pix and put it on the tix(need scanner and it will be my avatar :lol: )
got a crapload of bootlegs-some good qual, some not so good

various concert announcements from newspapers etc. (sounds stupid but just hold on to them for about 5 years and tey become works of art)...actually have one from the bflo news for ARA with the wrong venue!(it was moved from fairgrounds to darien lake bcause of tix sales)

Seriously, I've got my ticket stubs (9 of em) and am currently addicted to downloading via bit torrent all the live hip that's available. i'm up to here with live shows (pardon the play on words).

I see alot of people mentioning Hip ticket stubs.
What I do with mine, from all artists, is I put them in that artists CD case. Whatever tour they were on, that is the album it goes in.
Or if I have a boot of that show - mostly Hip then - I put the stub in with that show.
You would not believe how many times I have pulled out some random artists CD to listen to and there was a ticket stub from 1990 or something. I go - oh yeah, cool, forgot about that good old time.

thats a bad idea if you go to every show on the tour. your cd case wont close. :lol: :lol:
I really don't collect anything exclusively Hip....I have a collection of approximately 200 concert ticket stubs for shows I have personally attended, which I started at age 16 (more Hip stubs than any other act, tho).
The Hip did, however, provide the impetus behind a second collection I've started - gig-used guitar picks (or picks used personally by big-name guitarists / bassists). In the early '90s, Baker flipped his to me as the band walked offstage; since, I've collected picks from John Paul Jones, Dave Matthews, Michael Houser (RIP - Widespread Panic), John Bell (also of WP), Bela Fleck, Victor Wooten, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Ben Harper, Jerry Douglas, Ted Nugent, and both Gordon Lightfoot & his longtime lead guitarist, Terry Clements (who I had a long discussion with one night in Findlay Ohio....a great experience)....
Wow, how'd you get Lightfoot's pick? I heard he was notoriously standoffish when it came to memorabilia or autographs...
Maybe he was in 'the day', but this was just a few years ago, as he played a small venue in rural Ohio. Pretty small-time (almost embarrassingly so, for such an artist and legend)....My mom actually got those tix, since GL is a longtime favorite of hers . I suggested we wait by the bus, and maybe she (we) could talk to him (quite weird for me, really - hangin' with The Fam by the tour bus, after a show

. But sure enough, he yapped with us for a while, because only a few were there. Anyway, mom had GL sign old vinyls and talked to him, meanwhile I stood and talked to Clements, because I think his 'right-hand work' on the guitar is incredible...(which, BTW, he said was a style influenced by
Dick Dale, of all axemen).
I asked him for a pick, and he grabbed one from his front pocket, at which point, GL graciously produced one of his own.
Great guys and great artists - both of them.....
