I know that at one point we could upload images to the forum, but I see no evidence that this can still be done. Has this feature been removed? If is has been removed, is there a way I can post images without doing so via a link to an online source?

I think the feature has been removed. I posted a couple of pics the other day and the only way I could do so was to upload the pics to the webspace my ISP gives me, and then link to the images.....

Yes, this is a very good alternative to photobucket or any of those other image hosting servers. What a lot of people don't know is that ISPs usually included something like 10 or 15 megs of personal web space on the server. All you need is an FTP program to transfer the files there and then link to them. I highly suggest doing this over any of those "free" services.
