Yah I saw the other thread "search police" but I needed to make my own for a specific problem...

I'm reading on the Queens website there was a presale for the Winnipeg show starting today but there is no mention of this on Ticketmaster. I tried signing up for their mailing list but it keeps saying "username taken" no matter what I type in.

Just wondering what's the deal with the presale and if there's details I need to know if someone could help me out that'd be great!

Might be a Power97 presale?
No it's not. If you look at the bands with radio presales it has it set up like The Hip's presales where there's a box to type in a password.

If you check out www.qotsa.com you and go to "Tour" people comment on each tour date and there's people there for the Winnipeg show talking about how they have tickets already. There's also threads under "Community" where there's talk of being emailed passwords from the mailing list. It's confusing though because there isn't really any spot on the website to buy tickets either.
It's the same for Calgary. I think that you had to have signed up for the mailing list or whatever before hand, they sent out passwords and a link to the sale. It must be a different site as I can't find it on the qotsa site either.

Alas, I've not got tickets yet. Not that it should matter at a general admin show unless it sells out.
i liked the old stuff form QOTSA but im not really up on the bands news. Anyone know who is left from the original band?? Is grohl still around?
I got a link from the email list, but it's all in american funds, and tickets are available from willcall. I think they're 32 US after service charges or something like that, better than the $32 for the ticket, 8.75 in ticketmaster charges, 1.75 facility fee and 3.50 delivery charge. how are service charges like this even legal?

wtf? grohl played drums on songs for the deaf and did about 6 months of touring... thats it.

queens is josh homme's band and yes if you want to get technical he is the only original member.

Thanks for the help! I guess I missed the boat it says "tickets are no longer available through this outlet". I wonder if there's a certain amount available for presale. Guess I'll have to just try my luck Saturday morning. Thanks for the help though.

Thanks for the link!! Managed to get a few tickets to the show in Calgary. Can't wait. :thumb:
I got some Calgary tickets this morning too, should be a good show, too bad it's all ages. I assume it will be in the new Mac hall which is a shame, the old one is a much better place to see a band
a bit off topic but related is that Josh's side project "Desert Sessions" vol 9-10 is real good as is 8 & 9. I can not remeber who is on what session but Mark Lannegan (Screaming Trees), PJ Harvey ,Chris Cornell's (Soundgarden, Audioslave) and Eleven members Allain and his wife on on them.

Also Mondo Generator is Nick Oliveri's side project and is supposed to be real good
