HAHAH We all have our ways of interpeting the songs and you know what. According to an interview I have on my HD, he likes it that way.
Well, I'm sure the guy who's saying Blow at High Dough is about making a gay porno is being facetious, or trying to stir the pot.
As for people interpreting the song however they like, I'd say he likes it that way to a degree. At a certain point, I'm sure he starts to shake his head.
For example, I found something on Bobcaygeon the other day that claimed the Hip are neo-Nazis. After all, it's them that step to the mike and sing, right? So they must be the men they couldn't hang....

Awww come on you know there are evil people out there who are just in it to piss people off and you know the hip have a sense of humor. After all...they haven't had us all hauled in and committed!
Come to think of it...Gord does shave his head...hmmmm
I was a little startled myself at the "Aryan twang" line, but only because The Men They Couldn't Hang are my dad's favourite band and he's the least fascist person I can think of. I was relieve to see the lack of caps in the lyrics.
Only Dad's bald, too... Although he doesn't shave his head...
