according to the radio station i work at it is..was played during the classic brunch today, along side tracks like "jeepster" by t-rex, and l.a. woman by the doors....thoughts?
id say yes its over 20 years old
It's an amazing song definately in my top 5, definately a classic in my books
I would say its a classic. The proof is in the fact it is closer to 30 than 20 years old.

thipfan73

It definitely is a great song, one of my faves off TTH
Wasn't the EP in 87? That would make it 18 yrs old... not 20, or 30 like previously mentioned, wouldn't it?
yeah, not sure how we're getting to 30 years old there (30 years ago it was 1975). Also not sure about the effusion of love for it.

It's one of the "not bad" songs on the EP. But, I'd say if you're gonna pick a classic from that era, you'd be better off with Highway Girl.

But to each his Dulcinea, I suppose,

Does Last American Exit remind anyone else of Another Midnight?
Reason why you should preview your post before submitting it? So you dont make a dumb ass post with your numbers fudged up.

I meant it was closer to 20 than 10. Sorry about that.

Uh... no. Confusedcratch:
I wouldn't call it a classic, more of an antique.

It's cute, it documents the bands early stages, but just like the Beatles "She Loves You Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" was dwarfed by later accomplishments, I think the whole EP has been left in the dust.

I think, by definition, the first Hip classic was "Blow"

agreed...but i argue with the program director all the time about our playlist...blow and NOIS if anything should be on the classic brunch/lunch, maybe even 38 years old...
I hear UTH songs on the classic rock station here all the time, but Last American Exit a classic....hmm not sure, Highway Girl definitely, but hey its all good, so I hope they keep playing it anyway, classic or not who really cares, Hip Rules
